Chapter 1

What an AI agent is, for an agency

An AI agent is an AI assistant that does a job on its own. It reads your data, decides what matters and acts: it posts a summary, drafts a reply or flags a problem. You don't chat with it. It runs on a schedule, like a teammate who never forgets the boring parts.

Here's one we use every day. Every evening, a Claude routine reads the day's support conversations at ManyRequests, summarizes them and tags our team in Slack with the tickets still unanswered and the next steps. Nobody has to remember to do it, and nothing slips through overnight.

For agencies, the opportunity isn't the creative work. It's the busywork around it: status updates, chasing clients and invoices, checking briefs, writing the same recap every month. That's where agents shine.

Agents don't replace your team's judgment. They make sure it's spent on the right things.

Chapter 2

A week with agents in your agency

Here's what a normal week looks like once a few agents are running. Nobody wrote these messages: agents read your ManyRequests data and posted them in Slack.

“Hi Jenna, this week we delivered the 12 ad sizes and the new homepage hero. Next up is the November newsletter.”

Rule of thumb: if someone on your team does it every week by copying information from one place to another, an agent can probably do it.

Chapter 3

How agents work with your tools

Every agent has the same four parts. You already have most of them.

Your data

ManyRequests, through our MCP server. Included on every plan.

The assistant

Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP.

The trigger

A schedule, using your assistant's scheduled tasks or routines. Or by hand.

The output

A Slack message, an email, or a comment back on a request.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to the apps you use. Our MCP server lets your assistant find and update requests, clients, organizations, invoices and subscriptions in your ManyRequests portal, and add comments to requests.

To connect it, go to Settings → Integrations → MCP server in ManyRequests. It works with Claude (desktop and web), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, and takes about 30 seconds. See how it works.

Chapter 4

Your first agent

The best first agent is boring, frequent and low-risk. A task is a good fit when:

  • It happens at least every week
  • It follows clear rules you could explain to a new hire
  • The information it needs is in ManyRequests or a connected tool
  • A draft is good enough: a person reviews before anything goes out
  • A mistake would be cheap and easy to fix

For most agencies, that's the “Waiting on us” digest. It only reads data, runs every day, and makes sure no client waits overnight. Here it is, ready to copy:

1

“Waiting on us” digest

Weekdays · 5:00 pm
Prompt

Using ManyRequests, find every open request where the client wrote last and nobody on our team has replied for more than 24 hours. Read each request and its latest comments. Post one message in #delivery on Slack: group the requests by assignee, @-mention them, and add one line with the most useful next step. Keep it short. If nothing is waiting, post “All clear ✅”.

@Leo · #1038 Ad creative, 12 sizes · Orbit Fitness · 31h
Client asked for a green button. Share V3.

@Tom · #1051 Logo animation · Lumen Labs · 25h
Ask which file format they need.

Chapter 5

Roll it out safely

1
Start in a private channelLet the agent post in a Slack channel only you can see for a week.
2
Tune the promptToo long? Wrong tone? Missing something? Adjust the prompt until you'd send the result yourself.
3
Share it with the teamMove it to the team channel, and say who owns the agent and what it does.
4
Let it act, carefullyOnly once you trust it, let it do things in your portal, like asking a client for a missing detail.
5
Review every monthKeep the agents that save time, fix or stop the ones that don't.

You stay in control. A connection only sees the ManyRequests portal it's connected to, and you can see and revoke every connection in Settings → Integrations → MCP server. Clients see nothing new unless you let an agent comment on their requests.

Chapter 6

Five more agents to copy

Here are five more agents, each with a prompt you can copy and an example of what it posts. Paste one into Claude or ChatGPT with ManyRequests connected, and pick a schedule.

2

Monday week plan

Mondays · 8:30 am
Prompt

Using ManyRequests, list all open requests that are due this week or already overdue. Group them by assignee, sort by due date and flag anything overdue. Post it in #team on Slack as this week's plan, and end with the 3 requests most at risk of slipping and why.

3

Friday client updates

Fridays · 3:00 pm
Prompt

For each client with requests completed or in progress this week in ManyRequests, write a short, friendly update: what we delivered, what we're working on next, and anything we're waiting on from them. Don't send anything. Post the drafts in #client-updates on Slack so an account manager can review and send them.

Unpaid invoice chaser

Tuesdays · 9:00 am
Prompt

Using ManyRequests, find invoices that are still pending or whose payment failed. List them in #finance on Slack with the client, amount and how long they've been open, oldest first. For each one, draft a polite reminder in our tone of voice, but don't send it.

5

New brief checker

Every hour
Prompt

Check the requests submitted in ManyRequests in the last hour. Compare each brief with what we need for that service: format, sizes, deadline and assets. If something important is missing, add one short, friendly comment on the request asking the client for it. If the brief is complete, do nothing. Post a one-line summary in #delivery.

For each active client in ManyRequests, summarize last month: requests completed, what's still open, and invoices paid. Draft a short recap per client that an account manager can send with their monthly report, and post the drafts in #client-updates on Slack.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You connect ManyRequests to your AI assistant in a few clicks, paste a prompt and pick a schedule.

Which AI assistants work?

Any assistant that supports MCP servers: Claude (desktop and web), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code.

Is the MCP server included in my plan?

Yes, on every ManyRequests plan. Your AI assistant's own subscription is separate.

Can an agent message my clients?

Only if you let it. Agents can add comments to requests, so start with drafts in Slack and switch that on once you trust the results.
